Spinpark

CULTURAL AND BUSINESS
BRAGA, PORTUGAL

The building is destined to house small technological companies. The volumes are configured into pieces within a spiral external peel.

The exterior is rapped by concrete that is continuos, exposing the translucent interior of the building. It is an effect similar to peeling of an orange, denser in the center, and less it compacts as we stand back from it. This spiral effect allows us to see the internal spaces of the building, turning it more permeable to the light, and to the surroundings.

The block is set on pieces rythims allowing us the cross in external space between the parking lot and the future park to south, allowing people to view the interior of the building. The main entrance of the building is located in the middle os the structure destinguished with a facade with a larger dimension.

Spinpark shortlisted for 2009 World Architecture Festival edition in Barcelona.
