House Vågsgaten sits beautifully in a hillside, surrounded by trees, overlooking the harbour of Egersund. The project is a complete renovation of an existing house. The position and the main shape of the house is kept, but the main body of the house is carefully divided into smaller shapes. This approach creates the illusion of several buildings together in a cluster, instead of one giant façade. Inside it creates the feeling of several smaller private houses with separate distinctive views, linked together by common spaces.
